Brussels Step by Step

We came to the city center by taking the metro from the airport.. A Turkish lady named Suzan, whom we met in the subway, helped us a lot.. He has lived in Brussels for 14 years.. Originally from Gaziantep. He came here for college education and then he didn’t come back.. During our journey in the subway, he marks the places to visit on the map.
We came to the city center.. It’s around 23:00 at night and it’s pretty crowded.. At the metro exit, we take a taxi and give the address of the hotel.. But he says it’s very close and we can go on foot. It describes us which way to walk.
We start walking… There is a group of people in front of a pizzeria.. While we are chatting with my friend, a member of the group welcomes us.. Dhaka 1 goal 2. We just set foot. Where to Stay in Brussels

Besides, if you want to make accommodation cheap, Sunrise Apart Hote l located close to Rue Neuve shopping street can be an economical choice.. Alternatively, you can choose the Hotel Belvedere’, which is an economical hotel very close to the Basilica of Brussels.

While walking towards the Grand Plaza, we saw many chocolate shops and shops selling embroidered lace on the road.. I don’t think I need to tell you how the smells coming from these chocolate shops attract people before you even have breakfast in the morning, and that we start the day by eating chocolate. They dress this statue in costumes on important days.. These costumes included everything from the Elvis Presley costume to the Nelson Mandela outfit.. Are the clothes dressed in this statue exhibited in the city museum?. The statue was naked when we saw it.
You can buy different chocolates from the chocolatier named Leonidas next to the Peeing Child statue.. In particular, they made a chocolate fountain from the peeing place of the model in the form of a giant peeing child.. Other interesting chocolates were transparent colored chocolates.
Since our time is a bit limited in Brussels, we decided to make a preliminary exploration in the city with city tour buses.. The first point is the church that looks like Notre Dame in Paris, which was restored by the royal family. This church was built in the 16th century and there is a large garden in front of it.
Then we come to the stairs that have become the meeting point called Bourse.. Young people meet here in the evening, drink beer and socialize.. It is also a venue that hosts many rallies.. While we are walking on the roads, we are passing through beautiful buildings.
Then we are moving towards the Royal Palace. Although this place was built in the 13th century, it was restored in 1695 when it was bombed by France.. It is still in use and has a very nice garden.. Currently, part of it is used as a city museum.. The museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 every day except Mondays.. The entrance fee for this museum is about 2.5 Euros.
The most colorful things to see in this museum are Manneken Pis’ costumes. Another important point is the model of the city of Brussels.. But the surprising thing is that this model has a river in the city.. However, there is no river in the city… Because in the 19th century, they filled the river on the grounds that it smelled bad.. Of course, they didn’t change the model because it was made in the old days.
Then we reach the Margitte Museum’. After all, this is a part of the royal palace.. Opened on June 2, 2009 in memory of Belgian surrealist artist Rene Magritte(1898-1967). Entrance fee 8 Euros. However, if you buy a joint ticket with the Fine Arts Museum in this region, you pay a total of 13 Euros to enter both museums.. In the fine arts museum, the 15th-18th century, mainly belonging to the south of the Netherlands,. There are works created between the 19th century and works by Belgian artists.
We come to the 175-meter-long Palace of Justice from here.. This palace, which was under renovation at the time we went, is located at the highest point of the city.. Right next to 1. and 2. There is also a monument built to commemorate World War II.
Then we see the European Parliament building. There is also a bridge that connects the two buildings and symbolizes peace.. Consulates are located on this street.. Belgium is one of the first countries to join the European Union.
There is a large monument and a park built by the king to celebrate Belgium’s independence in 1880.. They named the park Cinquantenaire Park. It is also possible to see the military museum and the art museum in this area.
Then we come to the Schuman Building’, a gift from the European Commission to Belgium.. This building is named after French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman. The reason is that the foundations of the European Union are originally based on the European Coal and Steel Community.. That is to say, on May 9, 1950, French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman proposes a plan to establish a single body to supervise steel and coal production in West Germany and France, and to keep this partnership open to the membership of other European countries and the cooperation of the United Nations.. Robert Schuman is a person who founded the European Coal and Steel Community and made an effort to establish the “United States of Europe”.. The monument that we come across on the continuation of this road was built in 1830 (Colombos monument). The first king was symbolized on it.. The statues at the bottom represent religious, physical and spiritual freedom. From here, we pass through the area where the shopping centers are located and proceed towards Chinatown.
Atomium
From there we come to Atomium, which has become one of the symbols of Brussels. This place looks like a spaceship. The WELCOME model at the entrance of Atomium’ was just being built when we went.. Above each letter, they summarized the developing history of Belgium since 1830.. The entrance fee was 11 Euros when we went.

A street reminiscent of our Nevizade for dinner. we enter. We live in Chez Leon on this pleasant street. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Belgium. The food is delicious. There’s a shop called Beer Planet at the end of the street. There are beers with 13-14% alcohol content here.. The most preferred beer brands are Westvleteren, Orval, Kwak, Delirium Tremens and Westmalle.

Things to do in Plomari
The so-called ‘old town’ in the center of the town, which is one of the oldest settlements on the island, is where you can witness typical Greek architecture.. It is essential to enjoy walking among the historical houses on quiet and calm streets without traffic noise and to breathe the atmosphere of the town.

Plomari is 42 km from the center of the island of Lesvos.. Due to the nature of the road, this journey takes approximately 50 minutes by private vehicle.. In order to go to this town from Turkey, it is necessary to take a ferry from Ayvalık to Lesbos.. After the ferry ride that takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, the port of Lesbos is reached.. There is a municipal bus service between Mytilene and Plomari that runs 3-4 times a day.. However, without the hassle of the city bus, choose a pleasant journey by renting a car and being included in the nature view.
Plomari with its unspoiled nature, friendly people, historical structures, magnificent beaches, ouzo, olive oil and soap >, one of the most beautiful corners of Lesbos. Those planning a trip to Mytilene should spend a few days in this beautiful town.
After our tiring and intense trip to India, we got out of the chaos and arrived in Nepal, where we said “oh there is a world”. We had a comfortable journey to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, with a 55-minute flight from Varanasi.. Nepal is 3 hours 20 minutes ahead of Turkey and 15 minutes ahead of India.

A person who has prayed has red paint on his forehead. When you see this, know that that person has prayed. Let’s not forget that the main element of flower worship. During the worship we witnessed in temples, they offer flowers to their gods and light candles.
We were surprised that the fruits we ate did not taste salty, although agriculture is the livelihood of the country.. Especially when we say that the banana is disgusting that we have not eaten in our life, we say it’s like straw, we ate a banana that tasted just like that.. We got our Nepal visa quickly and very easily at the airport for 25 USD (15 days). They came to meet us because our hotel had a pick-up service.. We arrived at our hotel without the need to take a taxi.

You can see the most beautiful of the typical cute pencil houses of Gdansk that I mentioned in the Long Market.. The ones here are a little more historical and have wonderful decorations.
Also, I think the most eye-catching structure of the square is Gdansk Town Hall.

Gdansk’s Islands
I set foot on one of Gdansk’s islands from the Green Bridge in front of the Green Gate. I say island, but it is a part of the city I say so only because rivers run on both sides.
This is also a very touristic area, but it is under construction for now, that catches my attention the most. lots of mobile sweet sellers I see around. Poland’s sugary pastry desserts are in vain, definitely try it!

Eat a great boutique pancake shop called “Pan Kejk” on the Long Market I came. There is everything to eat and drink here, and you won’t believe the prices. I got a great sandwich, salad and unlimited coffee for only 15-20 zloty.
