In 2007, new projects for the future were being discussed at the German luxury automaker’s headquarters. At the end of these discussions, a new project was started in the company.. This project, which set out to discover the automotive needs of the future and to ensure that premium cars are made in this direction, was named “Project i”. “How the transportation of the future is seen by automobile users, and what new materials will be in this direction,” says BMW i Project Manager Manuel Sattig.
The first tangible concept of this project, which set out to set a vision for the future in those days, showed itself at the Frankfurt Automotive Fair in 2009.. However, even in those days, the question of “what if” was confusing.. “When I first saw the i Series models, I did not expect them to come to life,” says Borusan Otomotiv CEO Eşref Biryıldız. However, at the fair held in 2011, the i series concept cars became mobile.. At the end of 2013, BMW will begin to offer i3 and i8 models to the market.. After the M series, BMW’s 2. Sub-Brand Will Be BMW i Series
BMW i series will be the second sub-brand of the German luxury car manufacturer after the M sub-brand created for sports cars. The company plans to expand its customer profile with its new sub-brand. In fact, it’s not the only brand that does this.. Audi also uses S sub-brands for sports cars and e-tron for electric models.. BMW’s i sub-brand consists of electric and hybrid models. In addition, i series models have a separate design code.
All i series models use special fiber carbon material. This material, which is also used in the cabins of Formula 1 pilots, is seen by the company as the material of the future because it is both safer and lighter, and BMW executives say that it has a serious competitive advantage over other electric cars.. In fact, BMW has other hybrid models as well.. But they will not be included in the i series models due to both the design language and the materials used.
BMW i3 and BMW i8
BMW will launch two models in the i series in the first place. The mega city car, the i3, is an all-electric car the size of a B-segment car and has a range of approximately 160 km. This car will also offer a range-extending gasoline engine on some models.. This engine will work more like a generator that produces electricity and double the range of the vehicle.. The i8, on the other hand, is defined as an escape from the city, but it can travel only 35 km with its electric motor.. The i8, a plug-in hybrid model, combines the dynamics of a sports car and an electric car.. The i8, which has a 1.5 liter gasoline engine as well as an electric engine, has a fuel consumption of 2.7 liters per 100 km.. However, this consumption reaches up to 7 liters in rapid use.
BMW this invested about 400 million euros in its factory in Leipzig, Germany, to develop cars. In this factory, i series models are produced using 50 percent less energy and 70 percent less water than other BMW models.. All the energy used in the factory is obtained from the wind.
The company wants to reach serious volumes with these models in which it has invested heavily.. “These cars will be the models in the world that we volume,” Sattig says.. However, the fact that no brand in the world has been able to reach significant volumes in this field, apart from Toyota Prius, makes you approach this target more skeptically.. Moreover, it is a question mark how a premium brand like BMW will reach volume sales with electric cars, while many brands known for their volume sales in the world have difficulty in making volume in electric cars.
BMW i Series Electric Car It Will Be 2.0
Sattig describes the previously released electric cars as electric cars 1.0 and says that the i-series models are separated from them and become electric cars 2.0. : “We did not develop electric motors for our conventional models like other manufacturers.. Plomari is 42 km from the center of the island of Lesvos.. Due to the nature of the road, this journey takes approximately 50 minutes by private vehicle.. In order to go to this town from Turkey, it is necessary to take a ferry from Ayvalık to Lesbos.. After the ferry ride that takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, the port of Lesbos is reached.. There is a municipal bus service between Mytilene and Plomari that runs 3-4 times a day.. However, without the hassle of the city bus, choose a pleasant journey by renting a car and being included in the nature view.

After our tiring and intense trip to India, we got out of the chaos and arrived in Nepal, where we said “oh there is a world”. We had a comfortable journey to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, with a 55-minute flight from Varanasi.. Nepal is 3 hours 20 minutes ahead of Turkey and 15 minutes ahead of India.

During the worship we witnessed in temples, they offer flowers to their gods and light candles.
We were surprised that the fruits we ate did not taste salty, although agriculture is the livelihood of the country.. Especially when we say that the banana is disgusting that we have not eaten in our life, we say it’s like straw, we ate a banana that tasted just like that.. We got our Nepal visa quickly and very easily at the airport for 25 USD (15 days). They came to meet us because our hotel had a pick-up service.. We arrived at our hotel without the need to take a taxi.

But first, let’s list the must-haves and some information you need to know for those who are considering coming to Nepal:
