The story of Crying Cinar
According to the legend of Crying Sycamore; In the old years, when Greeks and Turks lived together, Turkish son Mehmet and Greek girl Eleni were madly in love with each other in Gölyazı.. After the War of Independence, they had to separate from each other due to the exchange agreement accepted between Greece and Turkey.. According to this agreement, the Greek families make their preparations and slowly start to leave the village.
Seeing the Greek families leaving the village, Mehmet starts to search for his lover Eleni like crazy in the crowd.. Meanwhile, Eleni’s older brother Yorgi cuts off Mehmet’s path and tells Mehmet that they are now enemies and that he must give up this love.. Mehmet objected.. And there is an argument between them.. In this discussion, Yorgi drew his dagger and stabbed Mehmet.. With his wound, Mehmet comes to the hollow of this great plane tree, where he secretly met with Eleni, with a last effort, in blood and pain.. Learning about the incident while the Greeks were advancing from the village, Eleni runs straight to her beloved Mehmet.. In the hollow of the plane tree he came running to, he finds his beloved Mehmet, lying on the ground covered in blood.. Taking Mehmet’s head in his arms, looking into his eyes for the last time with sobs, he said to Mehmet’s ear, “Don’t worry, dear, we will meet soon, and our home will be the hollow of this plane tree forever.. As long as this sycamore exists, our love will live forever…’ and he put one end of his belt, which he untied from his waist, on the branch of the plane tree and the other end around his neck, and killed himself there.. The legend is that; After this incident, the great plane tree starts to shed bloody tears in its hole.. That’s why this tree’s name has survived to the present day as the Crying Sycamore.

What to eat in Gölyazı?
You can’t go hungry in Gölyazı even if you wanted to. There are many businesses by the lake in Gölyazı. From tea gardens to restaurants to housewives opening fresh pancakes with their hands.. If you want to have breakfast or a snack in Gölyazı, there are many alternatives.. You can eat delicious pancakes from the aunts who open pancakes by the lake or fresh lake fish from restaurants.
Both women and men are engaged in fishing in Gölyazı.. You will see many women knitting nets while walking by the lake.. Uluabat lake is especially rich in pike and catfish.. Again, many kinds of fish and insects offered by the lake are among the other blessings offered by the lake.. The people of Gölyazı are mainly engaged in fishing and olive cultivation.. Here we saw lotus flowers blooming in the lake. Pelicans swimming in the lake on the way back was amazing. You can watch them from this video.

Islands of Uluabat
Tectonic, Uluabat, which is a freshwater lake, has many islands of various sizes.. The largest of these islands is Halilbey Island.. Later, Manastır Island, Arifmolla Island, Kızadası, Keremitçi, Terzioğlu and Bulut islands were glazed from large to small.. Alyos (Halilbey) Island is located right across Eskikaraağaç Village.. There are artifacts from the Byzantine Period in Alios.. Manastır (Nailbey) Island became known as Nailbey Island after Ziya Nail Döle, known as the Turkish Robinson, started to live here in the 1940s.. There are remains of the Hagios Constantinos (Helena) Church from the Byzantine Period on the island.. As Gölyazı is a place you can visit in half a day, you can stay in the center of Bursa or you can tour Trilye, Cumalıkızık or Uludağ.. There are many options in Bursa and its surroundings.

Plomari is 42 km from the center of the island of Lesvos.. Due to the nature of the road, this journey takes approximately 50 minutes by private vehicle.. In order to go to this town from Turkey, it is necessary to take a ferry from Ayvalık to Lesbos.. After the ferry ride that takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, the port of Lesbos is reached.. There is a municipal bus service between Mytilene and Plomari that runs 3-4 times a day.. However, without the hassle of the city bus, choose a pleasant journey by renting a car and being included in the nature view.

After our tiring and intense trip to India, we got out of the chaos and arrived in Nepal, where we said “oh there is a world”. During the worship we witnessed in temples, they offer flowers to their gods and light candles.
We were surprised that the fruits we ate did not taste salty, although agriculture is the livelihood of the country.. Especially when we say that the banana is disgusting that we have not eaten in our life, we say it’s like straw, we ate a banana that tasted just like that.. We got our Nepal visa quickly and very easily at the airport for 25 USD (15 days). They came to meet us because our hotel had a pick-up service.. We arrived at our hotel without the need to take a taxi.

You can see the most beautiful of the typical cute pencil houses of Gdansk that I mentioned in the Long Market.. The ones here are a little more historical and have wonderful decorations.
Also, I think the most eye-catching structure of the square is Gdansk Town Hall.

Gdansk’s Islands
I set foot on one of Gdansk’s islands from the Green Bridge in front of the Green Gate. I say island, but it is a part of the city I say so only because rivers run on both sides.
This is also a very touristic area, but it is under construction for now, that catches my attention the most. lots of mobile sweet sellers I see around. Poland’s sugary pastry desserts are in vain, definitely try it!

Eat a great boutique pancake shop called “Pan Kejk” on the Long Market I came. There is everything to eat and drink here, and you won’t believe the prices. I got a great sandwich, salad and unlimited coffee for only 15-20 zloty.
