If you have the chance to plan your Amsterdam trip for 5 days, it is possible to allocate the first 3 days to the city center and the remaining 2 days to the towns route close to Amsterdam.

The quietness of Marken, the island version of Volendam, away from the tourists, was very good for us; so if the weather conditions allow you to come here, we say don’t miss it.
How to Get to Marken:
There is no direct access to Marken from Amsterdam. To get here, you need to take a indirect bus from Volendam to Monnickendam and then to Marken. Since this road is a bit long and we don’t have that much time, we used the more practical method of boat transportation.
You will board from the port of Volendam bots. For this you have to pay an extra 8€ per person; because daily EBS cards are not valid on these bots. If you want to save time and move quickly, you can use one way these boats and return Marken to Amsterdam by bus 315 as we did.

Places To Visit In Marken:
Among the Amsterdam towns, our favorite after Zaanse Schans was undoubtedly Marken. We didn’t encounter crowds of tourists in Marken, probably because the arrival was a bit troublesome compared to the others, and this made our trip even better.. Since we arrived in Marken by boat, we gave priority to the port area. The green-painted houses in the rows of hut-types in this neighborhood today serve as restaurants, cafes and gift shops; You can start your tour by taking a tour around these places.
The town of Marken is actually divided into two districts called Havenbuurt and Kerkbuurt; If you are short on time, skip Havenbuurt, which starts with the port area, and follow the Kerkbuurt route. We were surprised that the fruits we ate did not taste salty, although agriculture is the livelihood of the country.. Especially when we say that the banana is disgusting that we have not eaten in our life, we say it’s like straw, we ate a banana that tasted just like that.. We got our Nepal visa quickly and very easily at the airport for 25 USD (15 days). They came to meet us because our hotel had a pick-up service.. We arrived at our hotel without the need to take a taxi.

Interesting place in Gdansk Crane The River And The Crane Look Better Here
Yes “Crane” is one of the interesting structures in Gdansk. This used to be a crane building used to load ships. If I said old, of course.. century is quite old The original state is destroyed, but the current one is worth seeing.

Gdansk’s Islands
I set foot on one of Gdansk’s islands from the Green Bridge in front of the Green Gate. I say island, but it is a part of the city I say so only because rivers run on both sides.
This is also a very touristic area, but it is under construction for now, that catches my attention the most. lots of mobile sweet sellers I see around. Poland’s sugary pastry desserts are in vain, definitely try it!

Eat a great boutique pancake shop called “Pan Kejk” on the Long Market I came. There is everything to eat and drink here, and you won’t believe the prices. I got a great sandwich, salad and unlimited coffee for only 15-20 zloty.
